Welcome to the International School Telemark
We are an exciting and fast growing international school situated in Porsgrunn, an attractive coastal town in Vestfold-Telemark County, Norway. There are over 25 different nationalities among the students, parents and staff of IST. The school was established in 2004 and has steadily grown over the last 15 years to have 200 students from Grade 1 to Grade 10. Our school is open to all students and is private, meaning that we offer a fully recognised alternative educationally and social programme. Our fees are very low for a private school and we are inclusive in welcoming all students interested in international, progressive and English language education.
Our whole school and community focus is on having an excellent and safe school learning environment for students, through our core goal of quality learning and wellbeing for all. This focus includes also the important values of respect, resilience, responsibility and reliability.
